Peace of Mind

Our lives are like the swinging of a clock's pendulum. The pendulum,
never remaining still, constantly swings back and forth from side to
side. Similarly, our lives constantly swing back and forth from pain to
pleasure and back to pain again. We need to bring the pendulum of our
lives to a standstill, a point of equilibrium. For this, we need peace of mind.

Be a Winner

The Winner - is always part of the answer
The Loser - is always part of the problem

The Winner - always has a program
The Loser - always has an excuse

The Winner - says "Let me do it for you"
The Loser says "That's not my job"

The Winner - sees an answer for every problem
The Loser - sees a problem for every answer

The Winner - sees a green near every sand trap
The Loser - sees two or three sand traps near every green

The Winner - says "It may be difficult but it's possible"
The Loser - says "It may be possible but it's too difficult"

For Love or Money ?

Some people want to see God -- Some people want to see God with their eyes as they see a cow and to love him as they love their cow - they love their cow for the milk and cheese and profit it makes them. This is how it is with people who love God for the sake of outward wealth or inward comfort. They do not rightly love God when they love him for their own advantage. Indeed, I tell you the truth, any object you have on your mind, however good, will be a barrier between you and the inmost truth.
